| With Gay Marriage officially becoming legal in California today, I feel compelled to comment. For the weeks leading up to this momement I have heard a lot of arguments on both sides, Christians (and other religious groups?) say it is ruining the sanctity of their religious marriage, gay people and their supporters just want equal rights under the law. As far as I see it, there is only one solution. If marriage is a religious institution, then lets move it back to the church. From now on, the only legal partnership is a civil union for all. If you want to get married in your church, than so be it, however it will not be recognized by the United States, if you want to be seen as legally partnered you have to march down to the court house and get a civil union. Done and done, arguments over.
